Lebanon: TOTAL announces EOI service support for offshore exploration

The TOTAL-led consortium (including ENI and Novatek) is gearing up to drill its first exploratory well in Block 4 toward the end of 2019. At the beginning of 2018, the consortium signed exploration and production agreements with Lebanon for Block 4 and Block 9.

 

 

TOTAL, in preparing for the drilling of its first exploratory well in Block 4 later next year, has announced an expression of interest to provide service and support for drilling operations. Qualifying entities should at a minimum be majority owned or controlled Lebanese, and have demonstrated experience in service provision.

The EOI includes: construction of logistics base and service provision inside Beirut port; marine gas oil supply; support vessels (emergency, supply, worker transport, ect.); helicopter service.
